plugin-pin management.. nearly there

Connection logic is in place - except for handling
Impossible Matches for plugins with configurable I/O Plugins.

Test, test, then optimize things & remove debug output.
Then we also need an API for labels according to i/o maps,
restore custom maps.. etc. The usual.
